Read moreLast week, we had the incredible opportunity to sponsor SQL Day 2025 in Wrocław, Poland — one of the biggest data community conferences in Central Europe. While we’ve been active in the industry for years, gaining new customers mostly through word-of-mouth and trusted recommendations, this was our first time sponsoring an event of this size. And we’re thrilled to say: it was a massive success.
Our company is growing, and with that growth comes a desire to increase our visibility within the broader data and database communities. SQL Day, with its mix of database professionals, cloud architects, BI specialists, and data engineers was the perfect venue.
Although we’ve sponsored smaller events in the past, SQL Day represented a major leap forward for us. We weren’t just there to be present — we came to make a lasting impression. And judging by the conversations we had and the visitors we welcomed, we certainly did!
Our orange booth stood out on the expo floor where we presented our core SQL Server consulting services, including:
We also proudly showcased our flagship product: SMT, a complex monitoring solution for SQL Servers or their Microsoft Azure flavors.
As a thank-you to those who spent time with us, we offered a variety of giveaways — from T-shirts and pens to our standout items: filtered water bottles for tea lovers and sleek, wood-covered solar power banks.
One of our own, Maciej Pilecki, delivered a technical session titled “Advanced SQL Server Table and Index Partitioning” — diving deep into database partitioning strategies that minimize hotspots, improve maintenance operations and providing scalable solutions for high-scale environments that definitely resonated with the SQL Server crowd in the room.
Evenings were just as important as the conference days. Whether attending the Speaker Dinner, the Conference Party, or joining peers and potential customers at Wrocław’s best restaurants, we made sure to network, share stories, and strengthen bonds within the community.
We were pleasantly surprised by the dedication of the community — many partied all night and still showed up sharp and ready for the next day’s sessions (ourselves included).
One of the highlights? Grant Fritchey, a respected voice in the industry and long-time Redgate Software employee, gave our SMT monitoring tool a public shoutout during his presentation — sending a wave of visitors our way afterward. That kind of recognition from a competitor was unexpected and incredibly validating.
Although SQL Day was data-oriented rather than purely SQL Server-focused, we were happy to see a genuine interest in performance tuning, optimization, and deep-dive SQL consulting. We connected with:
Some were interested in our services, while others — to our surprise — even expressed interest in working with us in our niche field of SQL Server optimization. A few simply stopped by to chat in Czech or Slovak, since they have studied or lived in our countries in the past — those conversations were not only heartwarming but also made us feel less like foreigners and more like part of a shared community.
We’ve labeled SQL Day 2025 as a huge success — not just in terms of exposure, but in the depth of conversations and connections made.
As Platinum Sponsors, we’re excited to return for SQL Day Lite later this year, and we’re participating in other Europe-based data events. So, if you missed us in Wrocław, don’t worry — later this week we will be presenting at Data Point 2025 in Prague.
